My interest in art was first nurtured by my grandmother. We spent many afternoons at the kitchen table, where she encouraged me to explore my creativity and express myself freely.
That early foundation led me to pursue a BFA in Art from Central Washington University. After graduating, I enrolled at ArtCenter, where I gained the technical skills and design thinking necessary to grow into a strong, strategic designer. It was there that I learned how to move beyond intuition, to pair creativity with intention, and to approach every project with purpose and clarity.
For the past three years, I’ve worked as a graphic designer in the professional hair color industry. This experience has deepened my understanding of brand identity, packaging systems, and the power of visual storytelling in a competitive market.
It’s where I learned to bring beauty and function together, balancing creative vision with real-world constraints and consumer needs.
Today, my relationship with art and design is rooted in purpose. What began at a kitchen table has evolved into a career focused on creating thoughtful, sustainable packaging and design systems. ArtCenter has expanded my perspective and sharpened my critical thinking, but the foundation of imagination and creative freedom laid by my grandmother still guides every step I take.
